Alejandro Durán is a Mexican-born, New York based multimedia artist working in photography, installation, video, sculpture and poetry. His work examines the fraught intersections of man and nature, particularly the tension between the natural world and an increasingly overdeveloped one.
He received an undergraduate degree in literature and a graduate degree in education from Tufts University and later completed an MFA in creative writing from the New School for Social Research.His photographic work spans fine art, nature, and portraiture, and is influenced by his extensive travel throughout Latin America.
